Leaders:

President & Director At Large: Margaret Lukomska

Received her Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) certification, Fall 2019. She began fostering dogs waiting for adoption in 2014 and that is how she become interested in training and dog behavior. Margaret also took the Humane Domaine 6 -month training course in Spring 2014 and has been volunteering there ever since in varies roles; farm hand, sheep trainer and administrative assistant.


Margaret is also a volunteer with Your Dog’s Friend organization.


Treasurer: Jamie Lipinski


Huge animal lover who supports humane education to help prevent the abuse and neglect of animals. Jamie promotes assistance and therapy dogs and other animals to help mitigate a variety of special needs. She is an IT professional who wants to help the non-profit in any way she can. Her family routinely rescues dogs and cats.


Secretary & Program Director: Debbie Winkler


IAABC Certified Animal Behavior Consultant and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA.) Debbie has been training and providing behavior consultations and training for domestic and exotic animals for 30 years. She has been training assistance dogs and providing humane education her entire career.


Debbie is also SATS certified, teaches and provides practical hours for animal training and behavior in the Humane Domain facility in Owings Mills Maryland, and has also taught animal behavior and training at Kutztown University in PA and Carroll Community College in Carroll County Maryland.


2nd Treasurer: Barbara Wilson


Barbara Wilson is a psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience. She sees clients from childhood age to the elderly. She is also an adjunct professor at Towson University in the Department of Psychology.

Barbara graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Science degree, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland, and a Nationally Certified Counselor.


She served as a consumer advisor on the Board of Sinai Hospice, on the Board of The Animal Kinship Alliance, and on the Board of Dog, Ears and Paws.


2nd Vice President: Jody Broughton


Jody Broughton is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Behavior Consultant and a member of IAABC. She is the owner of Social Tailwaggers, LLC, whose mission is to assist clients in understanding there is a science-based way to train dogs, and create a fun, loving and humane bond.


She is a CGC Evaluator, a Family Paws Parent Educator, and a Fear Free Certified Trainer. She is a committee member of the No Kill Community Animal Shelter Task Force for Laurel.


Vice President: Paulette Ringley


Paulette specializes in closed ecosystems, aquatic health and is a large animal specialist. Her entire life she has been a lover of all animals and nature. She has installed over 2,000 ponds and water gardens and countless aquariums. Paulette is the former owner of Your Companions Country Store.


She very much enjoys supporting Future Hope’s mission and provides husbandry and enrichment for our animal assisted therapy animals.


Director At Large: Karen Greenfield:


Karen is an avid animal lover and advocate. She earned her BA at University of Maryland and recently completed her education and internship in animal behavior and training taking classes with Humane Domain. She was a trainer at a dog day care facility for 8 years, and currently volunteers at Humane Domain, training and taking care of the animals.


Karen has volunteered hundreds of hours working to provide enrichment and training for a variety of species.
